The Huntsville Committee of 100 Young Professionals (YP) is sponsoring the organization’s third “Rock the Vote” event on Tuesday, February 28 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Historic Huntsville Depot Roundhouse.  The free event is geared to all young professionals 21-40 in Madison County and to all candidates on the ballots for Huntsville, Madison, and Madison County offices in 2012.

Committee of 100 YP is sponsoring the event to engage large numbers of young professionals in this year’s elections, campaigns, and local political issues. Young professionals can meet the candidates, register to vote, learn more about the 2012 elections, and get information on their voting districts.  Food, beverages and live music by Kush will also be part of the free event.  Fantastic door prizes will be given away throughout the evening. The Committee of 100 YP is collaborating with other young professional groups — First Fridays, Huntsville Young Professionals (HYP), and Leadership Connect among others to attract a diverse groups of young professionals across Huntsville/Madison County.
