Affordable By Design

Be Part of Huntsville's Housing Solution

The area commonly known as Mill Creek is about to undergo a substantial redevelopment. The twenty-seven-acre redevelopment aims to create mixed-income housing, essential health and child care facilities, learning classrooms, retail amenities, greenspace, and connectivity to the downtown area. In total, the area will contain over 700 new housing units to serve current and future residents.

A project of this size is a game changer for our downtown area. In order for Huntsville to remain Affordable by Design, we must continue to think creatively about how we house people. We hope you can join the conversation and learn how different cities are incorporating innovative strategies to enhance community, address housing needs, and improve quality of life through design.
